Sr. Facilities Engineer

Develop facility maintenance engineering systems and procedures, initiate and implement cost reduction projects, and perform repetitive failure analyses and advanced troubleshooting for new passenger car and light truck steel wheels manufacturing. Develop manufacturing equipment specifications. Ensure facilities deficiencies and projects are managed to support critical operations. Maintain site engineering documentation and code compliance. Manage engineering projects during specification development, quotation, vendor selection, design, installation, debug and start-up phases of project. Work closely with contractors and engineering design firms. 

 

Requires Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or closely related field and five years of progressive experience working with manufacture of new passenger car and light truck steel wheels in the automotive industry. Experience must include preventive and predictive methodologies including Total Predictive Maintenance (TPM), analyzing and planning equipment needs to support plant operations, proposing solutions prior to failure through use of thermography, vibration analysis, hydraulic oil analysis, and Pareto Charts, utilization of Lean innovation tools (DMAIC/PDSA), managing capital expenditure investments, evaluating Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) and Mean Time to Repair (MTTR), and utilizing 8D.
