Program Manager

Program Manager (Sedalia, MO). Manage multi-disciplinary program teams for new steel wheel product development processes for both passenger cars and light trucks, from initial design and development phases through final production and delivery. Define and oversee implementation of program schedules, coordinate program phase reviews, and liaise between production and engineering staff regarding program design and development. Analyze customer requirements, implement solutions to identified problems, and ensure that tasks are completed on time and within budget. Manage internal and external customer launch activities, including supporting program manufacturing, engineering, and sales teams. Requires a Bachelor Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering, or foreign equivalent degree, and 5 years of experience in a product, process, or quality engineering position in the passenger car and light truck steel wheel industry. Requires 5 years of experience with each of the following: engineering and product development processes for passenger car and light truck steel wheels, including developing new wheel designs and technologies, welding solutions for assemblies between wheel discs and rims, machining processes, and stamp-based wheel manufacturing processes; developing quotations for passenger car and light truck steel wheels, including analyzing customer requirements, tooling designs and costs, timing calculations, and production capacity and capability analyses; performing packaging evaluations for passenger car and light truck steel wheel products, including analyzing packaging and transportation-related defects; supporting suppliers in developing passenger car and light truck steel wheel components and specifications, including cladding and adhesives, and monitoring component testing and validation; project coordination in the passenger car and light truck steel wheel industry utilizing APQP, MSA, PPAP, FMEA, and production capacity studies; developing and implementing cost and scrap reduction and defect control systems in the passenger car and light truck steel wheel industry.
