Finishing Supervisor

***AFTERNOON SHIFT****

Responsible for implementing operating and communications activities in the area.  Responsible for manpower utilization, training, and development of co-workers.  Responsible for the administration of plant policies and procedures and other activities necessary to achieve plant and department goals.  Monitors and maintains the safety, health and environmental programs in the area.

0. 1. 1. Strip and Scrap Counts
1. Monitor counters on lines for excessive amounts of scrap or strip
2. Initiate corrective action
3. Topcoat Only: Receive Performance report from inspectors and transfer information to Pass Down Log
   1. 2. Production Counts

1. Monitor lines during production to evaluate performance
2. Investigate possible causes for producing less than production requirements
3. Initiate corrective action for high rework or scrap rates, general setup, tooling, dimensional or cosmetic problems
4. Communicate with other departments about concerns   
5. Complete production report
   1. 3. Management

1. Maintain Bottle Neck Reports and attend daily meeting
2. Make work station assignments to meet manpower and production needs
3. Review Ultipro and HR call-in information.
4. Administer company policies and procedures
5. Assure training occurs to maintain an efficient workforce
6. Provide technical assistance to line personnel
7. Maintain training records for area employees
8. Conduct annual performance reviews
9. Provide counseling as necessary
10. Write purchase requisitions
11. Check and sign off time sheets
12. E-coat, Topcoat and Skin: Coordinate  schedules to meet shipment requirements
    1. 4. Statistical Process Control - Assembly, Press, Rim, Skin

1. Receive SPC charts from SPC personnel
2. Monitor charts to assure production is within specification
3. Make notations on SPC to document highs and lows
4. Sign SPC charts each shift
5. Quality Checks

1. Communicate with Quality Assurance about status of product
2. Disposition nonconforming material
3. Communicate with Manager about quality concerns
4. Initiate corrective action as necessary

6. Change Over – Assembly, Press, Rim

1. Receive notification of change over from Production Schedule, lack of tooling or steel, or emergency situations
2. Inform Mfg. Controllers, Mfg. Technicians, Quality Assurance and  Material Controller Production to prepare for change over
3. Initiate Change over gap sheet.
4. Monitor change over for technical assistance
5. Approve and sign off change over guide for first run sample

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education Level:  High School Diploma/GED
• Professional Registrations and Certifications: leadership training preferred, not required
• Language Requirements: English

EXPERIENCE:

• Years of Experience: 2 years  manufacturing experience
• Microsoft office experience
• Manufacturing environment experience
