For our Open Innovation Department (Maxion Advanced Technologies - MAT) in Berlin Germany, we are looking for you as:

 

Innovation Engineer (m/f/d)

 

 

Your future role:

 

  • This position advances the innovation operations, consisting of creating & managing innovation systems, ideation processes, and new product opportunities
    • New technology identification
    • Development & assessment of feasibility of new technologies, working prototypes, bringing projects to feasibility status
  • New Technology Identification
    • Assess new technologies with potential application to Iochpe-Maxion current and future products through a network of external sources. These leads will be generated from academia, research institutes, universities, start-up companies, corporates, etc.
  • Technology Development
    • Coordinate development of selective technologies approved by MAT Steering Board to validate feasibility status (including working prototypes) by working jointly with Maxion’s Innovation Dept. Grow and enhance the database of assessed technologies.
  • Industry Partnerships & Collaborative Engagements
    • Foster the business development, partnering and other industry-facing activities of Iochpe-Maxion in Berlin by identifying small, mid-sized and large partners, investment opportunities, acquisition targets and JV opportunities. Identify potential business where Maxion’s technology portfolio can add value. Partnerships to include from first engagement to signed partner agreement, and execution of such agreements. Grow and enhance the database of partnerships.
  • Support & Representation
    • Position, promote, and represent Iochpe-Maxion in Berlin (i.e., conferences/events, industry forums, etc.). Serve as a first touch-point for any Berlin-based entity or individuals wishing to engage with Iochpe-Maxion.
  • Communication
    • Prepare materials/reports for internal decision meetings to be presented at Steering Board, including to communicate variances to management.
    • Provide subject matter expertise to internal function when needed.
    • Contribute to the sharing of technical knowledge across the business, fostering continuous innovation in products and manufacturing systems.

 

Your profile:

 

  • Engineering or equivalent, with experience in automotive and/or technology related industry
  • Experience in statistics and operational research
  • Experience in supporting and defining solutions for digital technologies & AI
  • Previous experience in Start-Up-Environment, Operations, Sales, Marketing or equivalent knowledge with business strategy development, customer interface, marketing analysis
